We got up, had an early breakfast before heading off early to visit the Sadastradhara ropeway. Firstly, we took photos of the river and the surrounding landscape, as well as of some monkeys. When we got onto the top of the ropeway, we discovered ourselves in a bizarre theme park with lots of dodgy children’s rides and plastic animals. We were constantly surrounded by people wanting a photo with us whilst we tried to take photos of the view. After this, we visited another strange attraction, robbers cave, which we could not access part of due to high river levels. After this, we then travelled to Dehradun mall, a posh shopping centre with lots of fancy shops, with many products at western prices. It was like being in a different universe, with this wealth contrasting with the poverty of the rest of the city. We did find a bookshop and we all bought some books.
