We got up early and caught train to Kalka. Before we going to the train station, we went to a shop chai tea- looked dodgy. The train was old and tired looking. We got newspapers, drinks, and breakfast on the train. The train was quite busy. We crossed the platform at Kalka and got on the narrow-gauge railway up to Shimla. The scenery around the train was beautiful as the train snaked round the mountain. Once we got to Shimla, we all squeezed into a taxi and drove to the maze of streets to the hotel. The view out of the window shows the large hotchpotch of buildings on the side of mountainside.
