BARNES Unit

Kildale Camp
3rd - 5th March 2006

The weekend was based at Low farm Barn in Kildale.
Route a short route was planned round the area of the farm and down to the Tea Rooms in Kildale. Thanks go to Andrew for buying Hot Chocolate / Orange for everyone.

After lunch, axe and knife skills were put into practice with everyone making a tent peg. As well as making use of the Trangia stoves, everyone was able to use the Hexi-stoves.

We held a quick camp fire before retreating into the warmth of the barn for our evening meal.

Most of Sunday morning was spent learning some knots and lashings.
